The competition was fierce, and I loved watching my email and the 20 Things host blogs for the mad race to the finish. But the most enjoyable part was reading everyone’s comments! When we first started the contest, I never expected I’d be reading through the responses and alternately smiling, sighing, and crying. I’m serious. You guys totally made me cry!! Especially as you showed me some of your most meaningful sentimental things, like jewelry and stuffed animals and rocks and pens and beautiful quilts that had been passed on from loved ones or that remind you of a special person or time in your life. And the photos, e-postcards, and videos you sent… just awesome! I loved hearing about your summer plans, summer jobs, books, adventures, music, memories, loved ones, favorite summer foods, secrets, friendship, and a lot of other really wonderful things (including a few ghost stories that will probably keep me up all week).
